West Ham starboy Mohammed Kudus could be of interest to Manchester City and Liverpool this summer, according to a report from Caught Offside

With growing rumours of both Kevin De Bruyne and Mohammed Salah leaving for a payday in Saudi Arabia this summer, both clubs could target the Ghanaian attacker as a replacement.

More comfortable on the right, Kudus would be seen as an ideal replacement for Salah by Arne Slot. Slot would’ve seen just how good Kudus was at Ajax during his time in charge of Feyenoord, so it would be far from a surprise if the Reds held an interest.

Kudus would be far from a direct replacement for De Bruyne. However, Kudus is more than capable of playing in central midfield, he hasn’t for West Ham but did on plenty of occasions in Amsterdam. His strength, hard work, tackling, and dribbling ability can make him almost unplayable in midfield at times.

While he would excel at both clubs, it is pretty much impossible that West Ham would sell this summer, unless a un-refusable bid was made. With the threat of Paqueta’s ban continuing to loom, the Hammers would be stupid to sell their next-best creator and superstar.

Kudus also has an £85m release clause that isn’t active till next summer, which would be a whole lot more affordable compared to what the club would ask for to even consider selling him this summer.
