West Ham United have made an offer of more than €20m for Euros sensation Georges Mikautadze, according to a report from GiveMeSport.

This offer is expected to be the biggest one tabled by any club so far, however, French clubs continue to circle around the Metz forward.

Monaco, Lyon, and Lens are reportedly interested in the Georgian forward who netted 13 times in Ligue 1 last campaign, despite Les Grenats’ relegation from the French top flight. He scored this many goals in just six months in the French top flight.

Mikautadze’s form at Metz earned him a €16m move to Ajax last summer, however after a horrid first six months of the campaign for Ajax and the player, he was loaned back to Metz. A prolific second half of the season saw the French outfit trigger the €10 million buy option inserted into the loan deal, and after some electric Euro 2024 performances, the Georgian’s stock has never been higher.

The Hammers are eager to bolster their options this summer, Julen Lopetegui is keen to add some support for Michail Antonio. There are plenty of other options in addition to Georges Mikautadze. Including; Youssef En-Nesyri, Jonathan David, and Samu Omorodion.

If signed, the Hammers will hope he shares some of the success the club’s last signing from Metz had. Diafra Sakho signed for West Ham from Metz in August 2014. He had some brilliant moments in claret and blue including scoring in his first six Premier League matches as a Hammer, as well as scoring the opener in the final game at the Boleyn Ground.
